The Wingless Tee was one of the first designs I worked on for SHAYXPEAR. It's a meaningful starter piece for the brand that plays with the idea of "cutting your wings" rather than "spreading your wings".
The idea doesn't mean to chain yourself from constraints and keep yourself from freedom but rather approaches the expression through the sacrifice of wings for new profound freedom.
In order to be free, in many cases there is a sacrifice one must make in order to pursuit true freedom. In life we often get stuck doing our daily tasks, duties, and become used to the cycle that slowly deteriorates us. The wings act as this cycle, the sacrifice of cutting the wings represents the new life you live.

This is genuinely my favorite piece of clothing!! From the moment you put it on, you can feel the quality; the thicker cotton is incredibly soft while still feeling light and breathable. The sewn-in SHAYXPEAR logo on the front is subtle and clean, but it’s the details on the back that really made my jaws drop. Unzipping the back to reveal a hint of red mesh was an unexpected touch that immediately stood out to me and perfectly ties into the SHAYXPEAR red aesthetic.
