The Wingless Tee was one of the first designs I worked on for SHAYXPEAR. It's a meaningful starter piece for the brand that plays with the idea of "cutting your wings" rather than "spreading your wings".

The idea doesn't mean to chain yourself from constraints and keep yourself from freedom but rather approaches the expression through the sacrifice of wings for new profound freedom.

In order to be free, in many cases there is a sacrifice one must make in order to pursuit true freedom. In life we often get stuck doing our daily tasks, duties, and become used to the cycle that slowly deteriorates us. The wings act as this cycle, the sacrifice of cutting the wings represents the new life you live.

The shirt is cropped for a perfect fit with oversized sleeves. Size up if you prefer a more oversized fit.

Garment Process

This shirt uses combed jersey knit cotton in order to ensure our shirt has exceptional strength and durability. We used a washing effect to create a vintage look while also softening up the fabric for comfort. The zippers in the back are made of metal and includes red meshing inside.

Care

Wash inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle with mild detergent.
Do not bleach, soak, rub, or wring.
Wash with like-colored garments if using higher temperatures.
Hang dry and avoid direct sunlight. Iron, steam, or tumble dry at low temperature(max 30℃ or 90℉).

This is genuinely my favorite piece of clothing!! From the moment you put it on, you can feel the quality; the thicker cotton is incredibly soft while still feeling light and breathable. The sewn-in SHAYXPEAR logo on the front is subtle and clean, but it’s the details on the back that really made my jaws drop. Unzipping the back to reveal a hint of red mesh was an unexpected touch that immediately stood out to me and perfectly ties into the SHAYXPEAR red aesthetic.

I love the concept of this design and the execution is fantastic. The fabric is a nice, thick cotton that is still breathable. The embroidery on the front does not irritate the skin on my chest and I can barely feel the zippers on the back even when I lay down or sit back in a chair. This is a very well made piece.
